Intro

Safety is our highest priority. As a Safety Engineer (Sifa), you will be working directly on our construction sites, primarily in Germany, as part of our international projects. In this responsible role, you will actively shape the safety culture on site and support managers and project teams in implementing our HSE standards.

Responsibilities

Monitor and actively contribute to the implementation of HSE requirements (Health, Safety, and Environment) and agreed HSE objectives across our construction sites and projects
Initiate, coordinate, and follow up on corrective actions in cases of non-compliance with HSE requirements, as well as provide support in emergency and escalation situations
Develop and continuously improve HSE system documentation and work procedures, particularly by preparing project-specific HSE management plans for large-scale construction projects
Advise and support managers on all matters related to health, occupational safety, and environmental protection
Support and advise internal and external stakeholders on HSE-related topics
Manage and implement customer-specific HSE requirements and support conflict resolution when necessary
Prepare, analyze, and report HSE key performance indicators (KPIs), statistics, and evaluations
Identify opportunities for improvement and develop sustainable optimization measures
Design and prepare training and instructional materials
Conduct HSE training sessions, safety inductions, and information events

Qualifications

Certified Safety Engineer / Occupational Safety Specialist (Sifa) in accordance with the German Occupational Safety and Health Act (<i>Arbeitsschutzgesetz</i>), Occupational Safety Act (<i>Arbeitssicherheitsgesetz</i>), and relevant accident prevention regulations, including qualification in Germany with Level 3 / Learning Field 6 of BGHM or BG RCI
Several years of professional experience (minimum 5 years) in the HSE field, preferably on large-scale construction sites or in international projects
In-depth knowledge of current HSE management systems, standards, and best practices, as well as practical experience in applying HSE methods and tools
Experience as an internal auditor and trainer for HSE training and safety instruction programs
Strong communication, consulting, and reporting skills
Experience in creating, analyzing, and evaluating HSE KPIs and statistics
Very good written and spoken English; German language skills are an advantage
Willingness to travel extensively for international project assignments, including direct deployment at construction sites
Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working

Compensation

Minimum collective salary
3.109,21 €

4.500,00 €

Please note that the collective agreement minimum salary under the attractive Austrian Metal Industry Collective Agreement amounts to € 3.109,21 gross per month. The actual salary will be determined based on your qualifications and professional experience and typically ranges between € 3.500 and € 4.500 gross per month.
