Intro
You will assume overall responsibility for the IT division of ZAUNERGROUP, leading it with entrepreneurial thinking, a structured hands-on mentality, and a drive for innovation. In this role, you will actively shape the company’s digital future – from strategic orientation and stable operations to the integration of new technologies. We are looking for a leader with vision, determination, and experience, who can combine strategy with practical execution and create structures in which both people and systems can realize their full potential.
Responsibilities
  • Development and implementation of the IT strategy in close coordination with executive management – across international borders.
  • Professional and disciplinary management of the IT team, fostering collaboration, skills development, and enthusiasm for shared goals.
  • Ensuring reliable IT operations and protecting sensitive data through proactive infrastructure and security concepts.
  • Advancement of existing services, introduction of new systems and technologies, and active promotion of digital transformation initiatives.
  • Responsibility for budgets, resource optimization, and management of external partners with a focus on efficiency, transparency, and long-term sustainability.
  • Technical and strategic consulting for executive management, reporting, and shaping of key business decisions.
Qualifications
  • Several years of experience in IT management, ideally in an industrial or technology-driven environment.
  • Relevant academic background in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a comparable qualification, combined with strong IT expertise and knowledge of international standards, IT governance, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven experience in building, managing, and developing IT structures and teams.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills – able to motivate people toward common goals.
  • Strategic thinking combined with operational pragmatism.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, assertiveness, and enthusiasm for driving change.
  • Excellent English skills and confidence in navigating international environments.

Compensation

Minimum collective salary
67.107,18 €

80.000,00 €

90.000,00 €
The collective agreement minimum salary in the attractive metal industry is € 67.107,18 gross per year. The actual salary for this position ranges between € 80.000 and € 90.000 gross per year and will be determined in agreement with you. In addition to an attractive annual salary, we provide a company car for private use.
