Project Document Controller (all genders) for Data Center Project

At ZAUNERGROUP, we deliver highly complex large-scale technical projects, with a particular focus on Data Centers. For our project team in Vienna, we are looking for a structured and detail-oriented professional in Document and Information Management. In this key role, you will ensure that technical documentation, drawings, approvals, and project records are managed accurately, kept up to date, and maintained in full compliance with client and project requirements. You will work closely on site with Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, QA/QC, Commissioning, and subcontractors and will serve as the central point of contact for all document-related matters within the project.
Responsibilities
  • <span data-converted-div="1"><li>Manage the complete project document lifecycle, including drawings, specifications, RFIs (Requests for Information), Technical Submittals, construction documentation, as-built documentation, and handover records
  • Ensure proper version control, document registers, workflows, approval processes, and compliance with project and client standards
  • Administer and support the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), including folder structures, permissions, workflows, document approvals, and reporting
  • Manage user access and permissions and provide training and support to project teams, construction management, project management, and subcontractors
  • Coordinate, submit, and track Technical Submittals in collaboration with Engineering, Procurement, and Quality Assurance teams
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of project documentation, including document numbering, formal reviews, and follow-up of outstanding actions
  • Work closely with Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Quality Assurance, Commissioning, and subcontractors directly on site
  • Support inspections, audits, coordination meetings, and the preparation of the complete project handover and close-out documentation
  • Act as the primary point of contact and escalation for document-related matters at the project site
Qualifications
  • <span data-converted-div="1"><li>Completed commercial or technical education (e.g. apprenticeship, business school, technical college, university, or equivalent) combined with relevant experience in project administration, document control, or information management
  • Previous experience working on construction sites is advantageous, ideally within large-scale construction, industrial, or engineering projects
  • Good knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) is an advantage; training can be provided for the right candidate
  • Experience with MS Office and ideally SharePoint, OneDrive, Google Drive, or similar cloud-based document management systems
  • Experience in the Data Center industry is an advantage
  • Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
  • Structured, independent, and detail-oriented working style with a high level of accuracy
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with international project teams, internal departments, and subcontractors
  • Ability to maintain oversight in a dynamic construction environment and proactively follow up on tasks and open issues

Compensation

Minimum collective salary
3.300,16 €

3.500,00 €

4.500,00 €
The collective agreement minimum salary under the attractive Metal Industry Collective Agreement is € 3.300,16 gross per month. The actual salary for this position ranges between € 3.500,00 and € 4.500,00 gross per month and will be determined jointly with you, depending on your qualifications and professional experience.
