Intro
Zaunergroup is an international partner for engineering, plant construction and industrial services in the fields of energy, industry and infrastructure. For projects in the Data Centre Central Europe sector, we are seeking an experienced Construction Manager for a demanding project based in Mainz. In this position, you will take responsibility for site execution in plant and pipeline construction, as well as coordinating subcontractors (e.g. ventilation, gas suppression systems, etc.), and overseeing all installation activities directly on site.
Responsibilities
  • Overall responsibility for construction management in the field of pipeline construction and all HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning and sanitation) trades
  • Coordination and supervision of installation teams, subcontractors and suppliers
  • Ensuring construction is delivered on time, to quality standards and within budget
  • Coordination of installation schedules in line with the overall project programme in collaboration with clients and subcontractors
  • Monitoring installation progress and liaising with project management, engineering and clients
  • Organisation of site logistics and workflows
  • Responsibility for compliance with health & safety, quality and environmental standards
  • Preparation and maintenance of site documentation and reporting to project management
  • Support during commissioning and acceptance procedures
Qualifications
  • Completed technical education (apprenticeship, master craftsman, technical college, university of applied sciences or equivalent) in plant engineering, pipeline construction or building services engineering
  • Several years of experience as a Construction Manager or Senior Supervisor in plant or pipeline construction
  • Proven experience in site organisation and coordination of installation teams
  • Structured and solution-oriented working approach
  • Strong assertiveness as well as excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Very good German language skills; English skills are essential
  • Willingness to travel and work on a rotation model (3:1)

Compensation

Minimum collective salary
47.126,24 €

56.000,00 €
Please note that the collective agreement minimum salary under the attractive Metal Industry Collective Agreement is € 47,126.24 gross per annum. The actual salary will fall within a range of € 47,200.00 to € 56,000.00 gross per annum and will be agreed with you individually. In addition to a competitive base salary, you will receive an attractive expatriate compensation package with additional financial and material benefits for your international assignment.
